Besides alligators, here's what you may find interesting in the Glades:

 

Red Cascade National Park 

Red Cascade National Park was established in 1883 to preserve its natural (and unnatural) wonders. Primarily a marsh, the central attraction is the Red Cascade, a near impossible waterfall in  the center of the park,  which is also the site of the original meteor crash. The only known side effect of the crash, the waters of Harjo River flowing from the site run red until it falls over a cliff  into a lagoon, where they become clear again. The park does not only preserve the site, it protects the public from it; this section of the river is quite poisonous, and prolonged exposure can kill within minutes.
